Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model as well as an animal rights activist in the US. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most acclaimed films. New York was her home and she was brought up in an environment that was artistic. In the beginning she was employed as an assistant in photography. Later on her work changed towards modeling and directing. Her two first films got noticed and earned her recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw was a worldwide superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. Within three years she was named the most popular female box-office starter in the world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature, hand-prints and foot prints in 1972. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married three times.
